Rwanda Volcanoes National Park entrance fees. The Volcanoes National Park is found in the Ruhengeri district in Northwestern Rwanda. This is the most visited national park in Rwanda and it is the country’s only place where gorilla trekking is done. To visit a habituated family of mountain gorillas, valid gorilla permits are essential and each permit costs USD1500 per person. The gorilla permit charges cover the park entrance fees and a close encounter with a gorilla group family. A maximum of eight tourists are allowed to visit a family of gorillas each day and 12 groups are open for gorilla tourism in Rwanda’s Volcanoes Park.
Gorilla permits for Volcanoes Park should be obtained in advance, at least 2-6 months before you travel to see gorillas. This won’t leave you disappointed at the last minute considering the high demand for gorilla permits. Golden monkey tracking is conducted only by visitors with valid permits. Each of the golden monkey permits costs USD100 foreign nonresidents. It is what complements the exhilarating gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park.
Bisoke volcano hiking costs USD75 per person for foreign nonresidents, USD55 for Rwandan/East African citizens, and foreign residents USD60. Hiking Bisoke Volcano take you up to Crater Lake and you will be enjoying breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Hiking fees for Mount Karisimbi differ according to visitor category; foreign nonresidents pay USD400, USD250 for foreign residents, and East African (USD300)/Rwandan citizens USD200. Karisimbi Volcano is the highest of the eight Virunga Volcanoes rising at an altitude of 4507 meters, offering stunning views of Volcanoes National Park and other Virunga Volcanoes. Two days are needed for guests to have a complete hike through the Karisimbi volcano.
Hiking Gahinga volcano costs foreign nonresidents 75, foreign residents USD60, Rwandan citizens 55, and USD65 for East African foreign residents.
Dian Fossey trekking fees cost USD75 (for foreign nonresidents), USD60 (for foreign residents and USD55 (for Rwandan citizens).
Nature walking fees cost USD55 for foreign residents, USD40 for foreign residents and USD35 for Rwandan citizens, or USD45 for East African foreign residents.
