Usually, the actual trek takes 3 to 6 hours though this varies depending on how fast you can trek, nature of the habitat and location of gorillas. You will have a maximum of 1 hour to spend with mountain gorillas but while maintaining a distance of 8-10m.
Walk back to have a relaxed afternoon at the lodge and lunch in case you never had. Later, the Batwa community visit is such unmissable experience and unique way to end your day. Learn the unique lifestyles, traditions, get entertained by dances, music performances from the Batwa pygmies who lived for 500,000 years peacefully with gorillas in Bwindi forest.
